26.02.2020 – 27.02.2020. SSSA and IUVO invited partners from TUM to visit them at their research facilities to develop approaches to tackle the challenges lying ahead. At the meeting, SSSA presented their developments in wearable robotics and provided TUM with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with different rehabilitation exoskeleton models. Additionally, a visit to Dr. Posteraro at the Rehabilitation Department of the Versilia Hospital was organized, where the application and benefits of the developed exoskeletons in a clinical setting were discussed.
On the second day of the visit, a meeting between SSSA, TUM, and IUVO at the facilities of IUVO was arranged. Here, the partners had a chance to present their findings since the kick-off meeting and discuss a shared approach to solve questions regarding impedance estimation and control architectures. In conclusion, the working group meeting was a big success in facilitating an opportunity to communicate knowledge between the involved project partners and coordinating a joint research strategy.
