The Schoen Clinic Bad Aibling Harthausen is a clinic with specialised orthopaedic and neurological expertise, with a focus on neurorehabilitation. In its role in the project, SK is responsible for the consultation concerning patients’ and therapists’ requirements during the development process, and evaluation of the prototypes. Based on the scientific evaluation, recommendations will be provided to optimize the system with its modules. The SK clinical research department has a professional and standardized infrastructure covering all aspects of performing clinical studies. Based on our experience in performing single centre and multicentre research trials on national and international cooperation level, SK has successfully participated in publicly-funded national and multinational projects. Some of these projects focussed on the development of robot based assistive technology interventions or the effectiveness of functional electrical stimulation applications.
