28.08.2020. For several years Schoen Clinic Bad Aibling has offered robotic treatment in combination with serious gaming, and functional electrical stimulation as part of their standard neurorehabilitation treatment. Since the implementation of the first device in our hospital, the effects of these specific therapies have been investigated to support evidence based medicine.
31.07.2020. At the Wearable Robotics Lab of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA) and IUVO, we are exploring new ideas for novel exoskeletons for upper-limb rehabilitation to support the continuum-of-care rehabilitation concept of the ReHyb project.
30.06.2020. At TECNALIA Research & Innovation, we have been doing Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) research for more than a decade. Our advanced transcutaneous FES solutions can be integrated with robotic actuators and sensing systems as proposed in the ReHyb upper limb hybrid rehabilitation system.
27.05.2020. The consortium originally planned to get together on this date for the second plenary meeting in San Sebastian, Spain. Due to the global pandemic and the consequent travel restrictions, also the project work in ReHyb needed to adapt. Therefore the second plenary meeting took place online with unaffected enthusiasm.
26.05.2020. At IBEC in the SPECS-lab we are working to design and build the Rehyb cognitive architecture that will link the user to various external devices such as robotic actuator (exoskeleton), physiological sensors and effectors, and the VR/AR rehabilitation scenarios.
30.04.2020. The Technical University of Denmark, as a member of the EU Horizon 2020 ReHyb project, is conducting research into augmented and virtual reality interfaces to exoskeletons for stroke patient recovery through hybrid rehabilitation.
26.02.2020 – 27.02.2020. SSSA and IUVO invited partners from TUM to visit them at their research facilities to develop approaches to tackle the challenges lying ahead. At the meeting, SSSA presented their developments in wearable robotics and provided TUM with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with different rehabilitation exoskeleton models.
17.01.2020. Following the kick-off meeting the partners came together to visit one of the projects clinical sites. The clinical partners from Schön Klinik Bad Aibling Harthausen invited the consortium to visit their neurological-orthopaedic specialist hospital on the edge of the Alps.
15.01.2020 – 16.01.2020. With the first plenary meeting the ReHyb Project was officially launched in Munich, Germany. Representatives of the partners in the Rehyb project consortium came together in Munich, Germany, for the first plenary meeting and an official kick-off of the endeavour.
