REHYB@STELAR: Sensitive data and user privacy

19.01.2021. The ReHyb project aims at developing a digital twin respecting Ethics and Data Protection. A digital twin is a digital replica of a living or non-living physical entity and it enables a seamless transfer of data by connecting physical and virtual worlds. In this regard, it is clear that such innovative ideas and tools need to achieve trust from the users and the best way is being transparent and showing that the project has checked and assessed all ethical and Data Protection issues.

REHYB@IUVO: Novel shoulder-elbow exoskeleton’s design

23.12.2020. At IUVO labs, the R&D team is working on the design and development of a fully portable and extremely lightweight shoulder-elbow exoskeleton to support the upper limb movements in post-stroke patients with mild to moderate hemiparesis.

REHYB@ÖSSUR: Identifying user groups

30.11.2020. The ReHyb project aims at providing solutions that can assist in rehabilition of upper limbs and to provide assistance in ADL to persons that have finished rehabilitation.

16.09.2020. The Munich local newspaper “Hallo München” has published an interview with Prof. Sandra Hirche in their Health series entitled: State-of-the-art medical technology in Munich: TUM is conducting research on intelligent exoskeletons for stroke patients.

REHYB@SK: Development of an upper limb neuroprosthesis using a participatory design

28.08.2020. For several years Schoen Clinic Bad Aibling has offered robotic treatment in combination with serious gaming, and functional electrical stimulation as part of their standard neurorehabilitation treatment. Since the implementation of the first device in our hospital, the effects of these specific therapies have been investigated to support evidence based medicine.

ReHyb@TECNALIA: FES Technology

30.06.2020. At TECNALIA Research & Innovation, we have been doing Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) research for more than a decade. Our advanced transcutaneous FES solutions can be integrated with robotic actuators and sensing systems as proposed in the ReHyb upper limb hybrid rehabilitation system.

Second project meeting for the ReHyb Project

27.05.2020. The consortium originally planned to get together on this date for the second plenary meeting in San Sebastian, Spain. Due to the global pandemic and the consequent travel restrictions, also the project work in ReHyb needed to adapt. Therefore the second plenary meeting took place online with unaffected enthusiasm.
